| Description | mirabilos' metapackage to avoid unattended upgrades
This metapackage ensures that your system does not install
Debian package upgrades automatically. You will want this if
you want to have full control over which packages and versions
get installed, or if running the “testing” or “unstable” (sid)
distribution (or a *buntu development version… to be honest,
any *buntu as they’re known to even break stuff in LTS).
.
Some of the conflictors do not install packages automatically
in the default configuration (listed below), but since you
are installing this package to avoid that always, it still
conflicts with them: aptdaemon, cron-apt
.
TODO: The package should actually conflict with *all* packages
that can do unattended upgrades in the system. Does, for example,
update-notifier (transitional to gnome-packagekit, ugh) do that?
Currently, a subset of packages is blocked only. |
