| Description | XTaran's metapackage to prevent the installation of ConsoleKit This metapackage ensures that ConsoleKit is not installed on your computer. ConsoleKit is mainly for multi-seat setups (ever saw one?) to distinguish which screen, mouse and keyboard belongs to which users. Additionally it spawns an annoyingly huge amount of threads (dozens on a normal laptop). Since you likely don’t have a multi-seat machine, you don’t want this package to mess around with your login session. |
